Bangladesh's university reforms should prioritize quality and encompass the private sector

Identifying the challenges towards achieving tertiary education reforms and devising strategies to overcome those challenges has been a major priority.

Identifying the challenges towards achieving tertiary education reforms and devising strategies to overcome those challenges has been a major priority. Previously emphasizing on reforms in the public universities, the focus was broadened last year by bringing in the stakeholders of private universities, into the debate of the future of higher education. In August 2017, FES Bangladesh held a series of workshops, in both public and private universities, and found out that a stronger governance, sincere teachers, effective policies, harmonious relationships between the students and the teachers and a stronger emphasis on the quality of education can lead to a positive change.
