Bangladesh: On with the next generation of trade unionists

In 2017, Bangladesh saw the opening of the first Academy of Work (AoW), a three-month long residential training programme for mid-level trade unionists from various sectors in the country. To make this happen, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Bangladesh joined hands with the Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies (BILS) and the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), which is housed under the country’s leading BRAC University.
