ITUC and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Bangladesh are going to conduct a research in Bangladesh. The primary focus of this research will be to prove the scale and severity of the violation of ILO Conventions in the workplaces across different sectors of the Bangladeshi economy. Special focus will be placed on female workers and those in the Special Economic Zones. The scope of research will involve both in-country documentation of workers testimony as well as a thorough analysis of the shortfalls of Bangladeshi labour law and EPZ law exposing workers to acts of anti-union discrimination, unfair labour practices and violence including matters related to minimum wage fixing and social protection for workers.

SME Foundation and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Bangladesh are inviting SME and training experts to submit technical and financial proposals for developing two training modules on 'Leadership and Managerial Skills Development for SMEs' and 'Labour Right and Gender Equality Promotion of SMEs'. The objective of the activity is to develop a comprehensive training module for a 7 days training on each of these areas.
